Welcome to my classroom! Prior to coming to Oxford, I served in the United States Navy as Data Processing Technician Second Class. I served at Mott Community College as Computer Operations Supervisor.  I also spent 8 years as a Computer Operations Manager for Ameritech.

My education experiences include earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan-Flint,  a Teaching Certificate with a major of Social Studies and a minor of Mathematics from the University of Michigan-Flint, a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from Oakland University, and a Masters of Education in Quality Schools from Graceland University.

In addition to teaching (mostly Sociology and Economics),      I have held the following non-teaching positions at Oxford High School: Peer Mediation Coordinator (7 years), NHS Faculty Council (11 years), NHS Advisor (3 years), Adventure Club Co-Sponsor (12 years), and Chess Club Sponsor (8 years.

I was a former Board Member at Lake Orion Community Schools and currently serve as the Oxford Education Association Building Representative. Professional certifications include Level 1 School Board Certification (MSBO), Peer Mediation Coordinator and Trainer (Oakland Mediation Center) and Reality Therapy Certification (William Glasser Institute).

My hobbies are chess, travel, hiking, cross-country skiing, reading, and political discussions.
