JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
August 2021

I have been teaching since 2018 at Eton Academy in Birmingham, Michigan. I taught a class of 10 third and fourth grade students with learning differences such as ADHD, and Dyslexia. After two years there I moved to Oxford and have been here ever since! In 2022 I took on the role as the Girls Lacrosse JV Assistant Coach, and became the JV Head Coach in 2023. Additionally, I helped create and implement our PBIS program at OES in 2022.
I believe that a conducive learning environment provides connection, comfort, safety, equity, and agency. My role is to support students with the strategies and tools to encourage independence, promote advocacy, and deepen understanding. I incorporate explicit, multisensory instruction into lessons, to engage students with learning differences. My classroom has clear expectations for behavior, and academics; and students are held accountable for their actions through restorative practices and positive behavioral interventions.
In my free time, I enjoy running, playing lacrosse, boating, skiing, and traveling. Previously, I graduated from Haslett High School near East Lansing. Go green! I love to visit Grand Haven in the Summer and spend warm days on the beach or boating on Lake Michigan.
