Dear Oxford Community Schools Families,
Starting Monday, December 1, Oxford High School will adjust its afternoon entry procedures as outlined below.
After 3:00 p.m., Door #17 (south, pool entrance) will be Exit Only. Anyone wishing to enter the building after this time should use Door #2 (main office entrance). Visitors and students may still be picked up at Door #17, which will remain open for exit only.
Morning arrival procedures will remain unchanged.
We understand that changes can take a little getting used to, and we appreciate your patience. This adjustment will help keep everyone safe while allowing events, practices, and other activities to run smoothly.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Oxford Community Schools

A cold and rainy day like today has us thinking about a cozy moment at the Oxford Early Learning Center! ☔🍲 After reading Stone Soup, our 4-year-old preschoolers each chose a vegetable they wanted to prepare and help add to the soup. They loved working together and enjoying the tasty results later in the day. 🥕😊

Dear Oxford Community Schools Families,
Sunday, November 30, 2025, is Wildcat Remembrance Day. We recognize that healing is a long and complex journey, and the well-being of our school community remains a core focus. We encourage you to spend this day in whatever way feels appropriate for your family.
Again this year, as a community, we plan to come together in two meaningful ways:
Moment of Silence at 12:51 p.m.
Wherever you are, we invite you to join us in a moment of silence.
Lighting of Luminaries at 7 p.m.
We invite the community to light luminaries as a symbol of love and remembrance. Luminaries were available for students and staff at their schools, or families may use any light to take part in this shared moment.
Please note that Oxford High School and its parking areas will remain closed that day.
As always, please reach out to your child’s teacher, principal, or a family-school liaison if you or your child need support.
Sincerely,
Oxford Community Schools
Pictured are some of our incredible building substitutes who work tirelessly to keep our schools running smoothly each and every day.
We are deeply grateful for them and for all of our dedicated substitutes who step in and support our students and staff. Thank you for everything you do!

They just wrapped up our annual food drive, collecting hundreds of items for the FISH Food Pantry. The Giving Tree is also up, helping local families in need this holiday season.
We are so proud of our student leaders for showing empathy and supporting our community!

This evening’s board of education meeting will be live-streamed courtesy of OCTV and can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/@OCTVMichigan. For those attending the meeting in person, the meeting location is at Leonard Elementary School. This regular board meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Today, nearly 300 OHS sophomores attended MiCareerQuest Southeast at the Novi Suburban Collection Showplace.
The students engaged in a variety of interactive activities with nearly 1,000 working professionals from 119 businesses, labor organizations, and educational institutions to explore 180 career opportunities. Students visited four career quadrants: Advanced Manufacturing, Construction Trades, Health Science, and Technology.
Lisa Butts, Director of Career-Focused Education, stated, “We’re thrilled to participate in MiCareerQuest Southeast again this year. Hands-on events like this open our students’ eyes to real-world career paths and inspire them to imagine their futures. Oxford High School is committed to connecting our students with meaningful opportunities, and MiCareerQuest SE is a valuable experience that helps them explore, engage, and envision their next steps. We’re proud to bring so many young people to such an impactful event.”
It was a great day for our sophomore Wildcats!

🌟 Oxford Alumni Spotlight: Jessica Brasington, Class of 2012 🌟
While at Oxford, Jessica was involved in Varsity Track & Field, NHS, BPA, and received the Daughters of the American Revolution “Good Citizen of the Year” award. Her favorite part of Oxford was always feeling supported: “There was always an adult I knew, trusted, and respected nearby. That sense of security made me brave enough to try new things.”
After graduation, she earned her B.A. in Social Relations and Policy from James Madison College at Michigan State University. Her confidence took her around the world. She studied abroad in Italy, served in the Peace Corps in Indonesia, and traveled to six continents, sometimes even solo.
Jessica credits many staff members for inspiring her, especially Mrs. Wolbert, who reminded her: “You’re not there to impress anyone. Just be yourself, and if it’s not the right fit, at least you’re authentic.”
Today, Jessica serves as the Development Director at the NOAH Project Detroit, a nonprofit working to end homelessness. She builds community support and helps individuals experiencing homelessness share their stories with dignity.
Words of Advice for Current Wildcats: Your passions and career goals may change, but hard work is timeless. Always be compassionate, and remember the “Golden Rule.”
We are proud to celebrate Jessica and the incredible impact she is making!
