Dear Oxford Schools Community,
Oxford Community Schools acknowledges National Gun Violence Awareness Day on Friday, June 2, 2023. This day was originally created to honor a child who lost her life by gun violence on a Chicago playground in 2013. Since our own devastating losses in 2021, this day now affects our community in a much deeper way.
Although they are ever-present in our thoughts and our hearts, tomorrow, may we once again honor the lives of Hana, Justin, Madisyn, and Tate who were taken from us far too soon.
