Dear Oxford Parents and Caregivers,
We wanted to remind you of the January Parent University Workshops that are scheduled. These workshops are planned to help equip our parents and caregivers with knowledge and tools to help their children thrive.
The Parent University January 2024 workshop opportunities are:
COPING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS: This workshop is for parents/caregivers of students in grades DK-5 on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. via ZOOM. A link will be emailed to the registrants.
FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA): This workshop is for students and families in grade 12 on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. virtually. Oakland University will provide the online meeting link.
MICHIGAN REHABILITATION SERVICES (MRS)- PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE: This workshop is for parents/caregivers of students in 8th grade- 26 years old and staff serving students with disabilities on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. via ZOOM. A link will be emailed to the registrants.
Registration is needed for participation in the workshops and will close three days prior to the event. Please visit the Parent University page on our website to register or use the QR codes or links on the attached informational fliers.
JANUARY PARENT UNIVERSITY WORKSHOPS
A minimum of five people need to be registered for the workshop to be held. If a workshop needs to be canceled due to low enrollment, an email will be sent to the registrants.
Additionally, if you have any ideas regarding future workshop topics for families and children or preferred platforms to increase parent participation, please share them with us through this workshop suggestion form. We want you to feel empowered and equipped to help your child succeed in school.
