September 21, MStep Parent Report

Dear Oxford Parent and/or Guardian,

Oxford Community Schools has partnered with the Michigan Department of Education’s Division of Accountability Services, to provide a new service called the Michigan Linked Educational Assessment Reporting Network (MiLearn).  This innovative project is legislatively funded and delivers state assessment data to students, parents, and educators in a more timely and dynamic manner.  It uses our district’s Student Information System, PowerSchool, to provide signed-in parents and students access to state assessment reports.

Here’s how it works.  Once a parent or student has logged into PowerSchool, click on the Application Launcher (icon) in the upper right-hand corner.  Then once Applications opens, just look for the State Assessments link.  Once you click it, you will be granted access to the state assessment reports available to you based on your role (parent, student, or educator) and the assessment results available (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021).  Currently, the only results available to parents through this access are M-STEP, MI-Access, and/or WIDA assessments. SAT and PSAT are only available through the College Board organization.

Oxford Community Schools is proud to be partnering with the Michigan Department of Education as part of this project.  Bringing state assessment data to parents and students in an electronic format through PowerSchool is a major enhancement in getting assessment data out more quickly and efficiently.  If you have questions about MiLearn, feel free to contact the Michigan Department of Education by sending an email to [email protected] or by calling 269-250-9240. If you have any issues logging into PowerSchool, please contact Oxford Community Schools by contacting Debbie Fox at 248-969-5191.

Sincerely,
